Seminars & Study Groups

Guy Sensei often teaches seminars both in the UK and internationally to help spread word of our school, Moto-Ha Yoshin Ryu Jujutsu.
These are generally held in collaboration with groups who are looking to supplement their own training or systems, learn something new, or those that are interested in becoming students of Moto-Ha Yoshin Ryu but don't live near to an existing Dojo.
Karate Sensei and students are often surprised by the softer elements of our Jujutsu, and especially for older practitioners how our approach can be much easier on the body without losing any of the martial effectiveness.
Aikido Sensei and students are usually intrigued by the juxtaposition of our our core principles when compared with their own, often finding how the same words or idea can be interpreted in a very different way physically. For those with a wider interest in Japanese Budo the chance to practice a school with a very different lineage is also an interesting experience.
Jujutsu (Ju Jitsu, Jiu Jitsu, BJJ) Sensei and students from other schools are often drawn by the simplicity and effectiveness of our techniques, with those from modern systems benefitting from the historical aspects of training in Koryu Budo (Samurai Era Martial Arts) often commenting on being able to see where their techniques originated and how they have developed.
For people who are seriously interested in learning Moto-Ha Yoshin Ryu Jujutsu, but aren't near an existing Dojo, you may be able to set up a local training group (either on it's own or incorporated into existing practice) supported through Seminars, Workshops, and Dojo visits. As you and/or your students progress grading opportunities will be made available for those at the required levels, and eventually the study group may become an official Branch Dojo.
